A bold move is when we act on an idea that tests our limits. It’s brash, imaginative, unreasonable even. It holds the potential to be a defining moment, a move that changes the trajectory of our lives.
Why Documenting Is So Important
When we look back on our lives, we can see the immense value in our bold moves. However, so much of it is unquantifiable, there is something deeper there. By picking up the pen along the way, clicking the camera, and recording audio, deeper truths begin to reveal themselves.
By documenting, we can see how we are changing which makes us braver. The value of our lives increases and we get to leave behind a legacy that is told in our own words.
Everything we write will fit into these 4 Categories
Our Bold Moves - Moves we made and where they have led us
Case Studies in Boldness - Examining key moves that led to a person’s greatest achievements
Everything Documenting - The importance of documenting your life and how to do it better
Bold Living Theory - Looking beyond the bold move and into the art of living boldly
Hi, we’re Fiona and Brandon,

It’s in our nature to go all in, so it’s a good thing we met that late March day 2017. Off the bat, we started working together growing our Real Estate business, and we were married within a year.
Ever since the biggest bold move of our lives (more about that below), we haven’t been secured to a house, instead intuitive and free to move with our tent and camper, either deep within the forest or just along its edge.
Over the past 4 years, we’ve become prolific documenters of our lives and filmmakers of the stories of others.
Once we realized (after moving to Nashville) that we are artists, we began crafting our art to resonate and contain all that we have to offer. Our art is living in a way that gives us a deeper understanding of our own unique human experience, and creating immersive multi-media experiences with our storytelling. In this moment we’re setting out to become the greatest storytellers because that’s the ultimate purpose of the bold moves and documentation.
We are currently at the beginning of our very first, own artistic project, The Firestarter. It’s our story of living in a tent in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula for 3 months of the winter along Lake Superior. Twice a month, in our paid space, we’ll share our joinery of bringing this project to life through written and photo documentation.
Our First Big Bold Move, Forest Bound
Sitting as new parents in our home in Detroit, our imaginations took hold of us and we began designing a life that was bounded by our values.
On October 1st, 2021, we made the boldest move of our lives to leave the life, business, house, and dream we had built, and explore what more the human experience has to offer us.
The first thing we had to do was get back to the basics, so we headed into the forest
The Camera Showed The Way
Over the next 3 years, exploring a minimalist outdoor life continuously encouraged us to pick up the camera. Not only did it become so easy to find shot inspiration living in the woods and undertaking new daily tasks, but the camera became a confidant.
This led us to start our independent film production company while undertaking the challenge of becoming traveling filmmakers. Searching for the stories worth sharing, we traversed the land interviewing over 100 people from all walks of life.
